PROPPER Technology

Design Lab

The Design Lab, located at the PROPPER headquarters, is dedicated to the research, development and design of new products. This 4,000 square foot think tank houses our product development team, multiple sewing stations, cutting space and more. They have the capabilities to take a garment from concept sketches to a production-quality finished product and handle all the steps in between. Our product development and global sourcing departments work hand-in-hand to bring these innovative prototypes to life.

Fabric Technology

DUPONT™ TEFLON® FABRIC PROTECTOR

DuPont™ Teflon® Fabric Protector repels stains and liquids, as well as dirt and debris. When liquid is introduced to the surface of the treated fabric, it forms beads that are easily wiped away.

NIR COMPLIANT

NIR (near infrared) compliant garments are used by the U.S. Department of Defense to prevent detection by NIR image converters. These detection devices do not detect temperatures, but rather variations in infrared radiation. NIR-compliant uniforms allow the wearer to appear at the same radiation level as the surrounding terrain, making them more difficult to detect.

GORE-TEX®

GORE-TEX® is lightweight, breathable, waterproof and windproof. It features a porous membrane layer and inner lining that allow water vapor to pass through, but not liquid. This unique fabric technology allows sweat to escape while keeping the wearer protected from the elements.

HALT™

HALT (Highly Advanced Laminate Technology) is a layered, waterproof fabric that is breathable and durable. HALT fabrics feature a laminate membrane system in multiple layers to achieve waterproof, breathable performance. This gives outerwear exceptional resistance against the elements without adding bulk.

DWR

DWR (durable water repellency) is applied to breathable fabrics to reduce water absorption and decrease drying time. DWR beads moisture on the surface of the fabric, increasing comfort even in the worst weather conditions.
