I'll say if you're on the fence, go for it. The frame itself is worth the price of admission.

I recently bought this pack for a long hiking trip and I have to say it's built amazingly well. I loaded it with 48 pounds of gear and strapped it on and there is no doubt I will be comfortable for this hike. Although large this bag easily packs a week's worth of essentials and allows you to carry it in comfort. Also the integrated hydration system accommodation carries a two liter bladder perfectly. I highly recommend this pack.

Perfect for my job as a first responder paramedic. Keeps everything perfectly cold and perfect for meal prep.

I love this backpack. I've been using an old assault pack and it just didn't have enough protection for my iPad or laptop. I moved into this and it not only has room for all my crap (books, jackets, etc.) it provides excellent cushion and shock protection from drops. The straps are solid and the backing is very comfortable. There are so many admin pockets that are easily accessible and the main pockets utilize a double zipper system and big zippers that stay closed but are easy to pull. This pa...

I've gone back and forth between a messenger bag and a backpack. This is a great backpack, with a well organized layout for EDC. The water bottle pockets actually hold a large bottle, the main compartment easily holds a laptop & assorted 'stuff.' I particularly like the no visible molle - it looks like a regular bag. But still has a slot for an armor panel and a good CCW compartment for spare mags, etc.

I have been using this bag everyday for a while now. I carry it to work for office work / LEO job. I have also traveled with it once so far. Everything about the bag is very well thought out and high quality. If I show anyone the features of the bag they are very impressed as well. Love the design too. Excellent choice.

At first when you get it the what seems like at least 50 straps and clips is a little confusing but I think figuring out the pack was a little fun. But to get to the point this pack is one of the most well padded and comfortable I've ever used, and has plenty of space and compression straps to fit all of the gear, food, and water, you could possibly need on multi day hunts, hikes, or camping trips.

I love the Travel Trunk. I'm volunteer EMT and split time a multiple stations. This bag fits anything and everything. Looking forward to using it away from duty as well. Canvas could be a little thicker, but the construction is top notch. Strong zippers, handles and support straps. Also, pick up the strapettes to use as a backpack. Mountainsmith knows how to design a lasting bag.

This bag is great for any occasion. I keep my gym clothes in it, as well as my work overnight gear.
This is so handy and convenient and helps me stay on point with my nutrition and macros. Thanks to this I have finally broke my plateau since I am able to make sure I am eating right even on the go. Keeps my meals fresh. I can't say enough about this bag. I even ordered the Renee tote now. 😃

The name says it all....its huge and has tons of compartments to store whatever you need. You could probably even get away with using this for a vacation suitcase.

I used this pack for a 3 day backcountry elk hunt in CO. Carried close to 50 lbs., with no trouble. Didn't get the opportunity to use the EPS meat compartment, but the pack handles the weight well, and didn't bother my shoulders at all. This is a good pack to start with and not spend tons of money. Good quality, and having the rain cover is a plus.

I can't wait to bring this bad boy to Yellowstone. I'm just started to get into backpacking and I wanted to get a high-quality pack that'll last me years. I can tell this one is up for the challenge. When I first put it on, I liked how comfortable it was, and then I liked it even more when I learned how I could shift the straps up and down to fit my torso. I didn't move them very much, but I imagine some folks might really get a use out of that feature. This is a high quality ...
