PHOTO JOURNEY: Fireman Rob takes on Oceanside IRONMAN

From overcast Wisconsin to sunny Southern California! Fireman Rob’s trek to the Oceanside IRONMAN was a huge success. In addition to the normal gear you’d expect to bring on a trip to a triathlon, Rob hauled over 50 pounds of fireman gear with him to the beach town. I had a chance to visit him, and when I tried moving it from the parking lot all the way to the pier, I concluded that I need to work out more. A lot more.

At 37 years old, Fireman Rob strikes an inspiring figure at every race he runs. From running alongside kids in the IRONKIDS trek, to constantly advocating his mission of finding your strength through pursuing your passion, Rob’s dedication to his causes continues to amaze us.

Want to know what it’s like to take on the last leg of an IRONMAN in all that gear? Checkout Rob’s riveting breakdown right here. Now, take a journey with Rob:
