Again, these functional advantages are a reality because Geoprene is 98% water impermeable. Old fashioned neoprene suits are like a sponge. They soak-up water. They get heavy. And they drag you down (while making you shiver). Conversely, Geoprene absorbs little to no water. Coupled with Matuse’s patterning, a Matuse suit never feels or functions like a cold, clammy bag of bricks on your back.
Matuse products, also known as Premium (the ichiban) Game, represent the Japanese-based Kaizen philosophy of continual improvement. Measure twice. Cut once. Can’t knock this hustle. It’s art + function and it’s all good. In designing a suit, we seek to perfect 4 critical areas:

To maximize performance in each area, we consult with a panel of orthopedists, yogis, world-renowned surfers, swimmers and water-enthusiasts to determine a seam design that is not only functionally superior but also comfy and aesthetically pleasing. It’s our job to ensure you maximize your time spent in the water. And we are constantly improving in the following areas:

THIS RUBBER DOESN’T SUCK
Unlike standard neoprene, Geoprene doesn’t suck up water. Its closed cell content is over 98%—over 30% higher than most competing materials. And with virtually no water absorption, the weight of this rubber remains nearly identical in wet or dry conditions.
THIS RUBBER HAS GAS—AND THAT’S A GOOD THING
Each independent closed cell is filled with Nitrogen gas, enabling excellent thermal insulation and optimum heat retention.
THIS RUBBER BACKS ITSELF UP
Geoprene’s uniform microcell structure ensures that if your suit’s surface gets scratched, new independent concave microcells are exposed to ensure continued functionality.
THIS RUBBER’S GOT MORE STRETCH THAN YOUR OWN SKIN
Geoprene’s maximum elongation is 480-530%. The human skin’s greatest elongation—found in the armpit—is only 60-70%. Even better, Geoprene never gets stretch marks.
THIS RUBBER’S GOT 3-DIS (I.E. 3-DIMENSIONAL INTELLIGENT SKIN)
Geoprene has a state-of-the-art technology that’s a part of its basic DNA. In addition to the “Regular Carbon Black” application, Geoprene has “Spherical Carbon Black”—which disperses all force loads: stretch, elongation, pressure and compression. Geoprene also has a “FE Polymer” which prevents self-curing and reduces aging (i.e. hardening) that affects inferior foam rubber compounds.

GovX and Matuse strive to provide the best customer service possible. Matuse merchandise can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of the delivery date, provided the product is in new, unused condition.
If you need to return an item you ordered with GovX.com, just contact one of our Customer Support Team members at 888-468-5511 to obtain a Return Authorization Number and return the item within 30 days of delivery*(Do not contact manufacturer directly – All returns must be processed through GovX).
ALL RETURNS MUST HAVE A RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER that can only be provided by contacting Govx.com at 888-468-5511 or by emailing us at sales@govx.com.
*Keep the following guidelines in mind: (i) all items must be returned in new, unused condition, and will undergo quality checks. All product packaging materials--including boxes, manuals, warranty cards, instructions, tags, and any other materials in the original shipment--must be returned with your returned item(s), (ii) our return policy is subject to each Manufacturer-Partner’s individual return policy(See MATUSE RETURN INFORMATION below), which may vary from the GovX policy, in which case, the Matuse policy prevails, and, (iii) we do not cover postage expense on returned items unless there are special circumstances which will be explained when you call us to arrange for your return.
MATUSE RETURN INFORMATION
- All returns must have a return authorization number.
- All return merchandise must be packed loosely to avoid creasing, consistent with the way it was received.
- The Matuse warranty policy does not apply in cases where Geoprene quality is irreversibly damaged due to sun exposure, improper care, general negligence or natural aging over the course of the product’s lifetime.
- We recommend selecting a trackable shipping method and keeping the tracking information for your records until the return/exchange is complete.
- Refunds/exchanges can take up to 3-4 weeks or sooner. Shipping charges are not refundable. We do not accept COD deliveries.
- If possible, use the original shipping package for returns and exchanges.
EXCHANGES
We do not process exchanges. To exchange an item, please return the item pursuant to the Return Authorization number and instructions you obtain from us, and place a new order on GovX.com.
